I wrote this post in 2004, on September 30th to be exact. It was to my daughter who was then turning thirteen. Tonight, I have the honor of presenting her with a ring at a ceremony (part of a formal event know as Vesperia). I will give a short charge as I present her with her new ring. As I was thinking of what to say, I remembered back to this blog post.

Thirteen years ago, on September 30th, at four minutes before midnight, my daughter Tatum was born.
Becoming a father was life changing for me. My ambition to have a great career and to make a name for myself, faded to obscurity. My priorities radically shifted, for the better. To say 1991 was a huge year in my life would be a monumental understatement.
