Ever wonder why tennis has lost so much prestige and viewership in the modern era?
Simple. It has become boring to watch. It is all about power and big serves. Yawn.
Where are the long points? Where are the heart-stopping rallies of the Bjorn Borg -vs- John McEnroe era?
Tennis fans have been robbed of excitement because of technology and the emphasis on the big serve. The solution?
Get rid of the second serve. You get one serve. Exit the era of the double fault. Enter the era of the single fault.
Players would be forced to ease up and get that serve in. The result? More drama, higher viewership, and a resurgence in the sport of tennis.
I actually like this one. :)

Then again, I don't really watch tennis, so I think about any rule change would be an improvement. :)
