"But ultimately, the problem here is that truth is not a democracy. What's true is true, irrespective of how many people know the truth."
~ tgirsch, staunchly and correctly defending the correspondence theory of truth
"So there's little point claiming that the free market can deal with a problem that, using the worldview (you're welcome, Mr D!) it brings to such things, it's incapable of even seeing a problem."
~ Paul, correctly recognizing a common problem with worldviews
"Most of the people who visit this site would say that there is no greater truth than God's love for us through Christ, yet a majority of the world doesn't *know* that."
~ Paul, underscoring the importance of Christian missions
"Given that scenario, how do you propose we solve the problem?"
~ tgirsch, modeling the Columbo tactic
I can tell you guys have been hanging around this blog for a while. Please keep up the excellent discussion on global warming, worldviews, epistemology, and morality. This is better than a Pigfest. I wish I had time to join in. I just had to cherry pick a few comments that ... well ... brought a smile.
Carry on. :)
You're welcome. :) Although, I'm not sure the question you chose is a good example of the "Columbo tactic." I'm not trying to go down a path of asking an infinite series of questions. I'm just trying to get a straight answer to one question. :)
