I followed my friend Brian the worldview warrior ... and obtained the entire first season of "24" on DVDs.
I was up till 1:30 am watching episodes 1 - 4. The relevant question is, will I break Brian's record of watching fourteen episodes in one day? ;-)
Jeff,
I have Seasons Two and Three ready to go. We are beginning to think of doing a group viewing with the guys in my accountability group and their families. I think we may have to watch Season 1 again since I know I won't be able to stop once I start watching again.
I am traveling to Mount Washington, New Hampshire this weekend by car. I am thinking of watching Season Two on the trip when I am not driving. I am not sure if I want to watch it in the car instead of on my screen at home with the Bose audio. You have to be selective about the experience ;-).
I will be buying Season 4 as soon as it comes out. Will your family be watching with you? Will you be having conversations about the show? I would be interested to know what you do with this series. It is certainly addicting or as Glenn says, "visual crack!"
Enjoy,
Brian

That's weird. I just got done watching season 1. The most I watched in one day was 4. I'll be starting season 2 soon. I'm told season 2 is better than season 1.

6 in one day - four at work (due to a cancellation of a big case), and two more after the wife went to bed is my record.
I often had a case of the "I'll just watch the first ten minutes", and then next thing I knew the clock in the show was showing x:49.

Jeff, Macht and Serge,
The problem is that all the endings are such cliffhangers. I think if I must stop watching it is either that I am too tired to persist or I stop at a less-cliffhanging part of the show (like the middle of an episode).
Let me know if you are having to check into a 24-adone (methadone for 24 addicts) like I am!
Enjoy,
Brian

I'm signed up for Blockbuster's rent-all-you-want-for-$15-a-month deal. The only problem is you can only take one DVD out at a time. Since I usually watch them at night (aka, after the store closes), getting to the end of the DVD generally prevents me from watching more until at least the next day.

You guys are amazing. I think my record is 5 episodes with my addicted 24 community. 14 straight? I'm in awe.

I watched 3 1/2 episodes last night. Brian is right. The best time to shut it off is in the middle of an episode. It is nearly impossible to do so after an episode completes.
The twists and turns last night were roller coasterish. It was gut wrenching. I am early into season one, so please ... no spoiler comments ;-)

Jeff,
How is the 24, I mean visual crack, watching going? I am thinking of starting Season Two next weekend.
This weekend I will be passing through Roanoke... Let me know what you are up to.
