I encourage you to take this short quiz. At first blink, it appears to be a silly little quiz. Then I took it. There are some really thought provoking questions on it.
Be as honest with yourself as possible when answering. Don't sugar coat your answers. Be real. Be honest.

I scored a 96, which makes me "Lucy," apparently. And only five points off from being a "Lion." Not bad for a godless heathen. :)

86. Lucy. Apparently, I am more heathen than Tom ...

78 - Barely a Lucy, almost a Tumnus. Definitely more heathen than Tom or Kevin. Frankly, that's probably a pretty accurate assessment.

Kevin:
Not more heathen, just more self-centered. :)

64 - Tumnus
You do a lot of good for other people, but often are stymied by fear of repercussions or what others will think. You pursue your own needs and goals but also make time for others. You are Mr. Tumnus, the faun who intends to kidnap Lucy for the Witch but realizes he shouldn't.

I think that blows the validity of this test out of the water, then. :) Unless, of course, you think that works are more important than faith. *ducks*

TWA:
I doubt you're more heathen than me or Kevin, given that I'm an atheist ex-Catholic, and Kevin's a marginally Catholic agnostic. :)

I am too self-absorbed, and this quiz busted my chops. I think it was quite good at exposing my selfishness.
I took it twice. The first time, I registered as Lucy. Then I realized that I was answering it the way I would like to be, rather than the way I truly am. A second pass through the quiz landed me as a solid Tumnus, which I think is far more accurate.
Tom, when I read the question about the dog getting hit by the car, you were the first person I thought of (as one who would dive in front of a bus to save a puppy).
I am really curious to know which character you associated with. That would go for all three of you who responded to the quiz.

I don't associate with any character, really. I never finished the books as a kid -- they just didn't grab me for whatever reason.

See, now you're not only asking me to see the movie, you're asking me to read the book! :)

Actually, you both misunderstood what I was asking :-)
The last question on the quiz was
Q12. Which of these movie or TV characters do you most identify with?
1. Jerry Maguire: I lived a life of selfishness but came to see the light.
2. Erin Brokovich: Just a regular person fighting for justice.
3. Gordon Gecko (from 'Wall Street'): Greed is good,
4. Spider-Man: With great power comes great responsibility.
5. Bridget Jones: I try to be good every day, but I can't always succeed.

I don't particularly like any of the choices, but of the ones they listed, I went with Erin Brockovich. Spider-Man was second place. This is based on the quiz's summation of the characters more than on the characters themselves.

I don't like the choices either, but I pretty much went with Tom's answers. Brockovich and then Spider man.
