I have never heard of the 2008 Centurions program. What is it? What is a Centurion? When is the program? Where does it take place? What does this program teach?

The Centurion program is a year long program designed to teach how to teach Biblical worldview thinking.

It is a distance learning program. That means that most of the learning takes place in your home using the computer and the phone. You interact with teachers and fellow participants over the web. However, there are three get togethers in D.C. where you meet face to face. You will meet Chuck Colson and other Christian leaders who will challenge you to become a person who influences others to think Biblically about all of life.

The program includes a fair amount of reading and writing about the Christian mind. It also balances this with a view toward transformational discipleship. In other words, growing in how we think also influences how we live and respond in obedience to Christ. Learning to think like a Christian involves growth as a disciple of Christ. A transformed mind and a transformed heart leads to a transformed life. Transformed lives affect change. These are core values in the Centurions program.

The program is directed toward people interested in using the training to teach or mentor others. If you have any teaching or leadership experience in your church or small group, you are a natural for this program.
